THE GIANT AWAKENS

Today the Body of Christ is as a sleeping giant. According to the Scriptures, the giant will awaken in the last days. When the Lord Jesus returns He will be both in and with the giant, which is His Body, His Church. If we plan on appearing with Christ when He appears, our task now is to find and develop our place in the Body of Christ.

THE GIANT AWAKENS

By abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, (Ephesians 2:15)

“To create in himself one new man.”

The one new Man is Christ—Head and Body, the Servant of the Lord, the Messiah who is to come, and, ultimately, the new Jerusalem.

And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, To be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment—to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ. (Ephesians 1:9,10)

When we consider the various Christian organizations of our time it is difficult to picture one new Man emerging from all these manmade “babylons.” But the creation of the one new Man shall take place indeed; for the God of Heaven cannot accomplish His plans for the heavens and the earth except through Christ—Head and Body.

We understand God has used and is using the various religious institutions to perform His will; but in this essay we are looking at the future.

Let us begin our study of the one new Man by turning to the thirty-seventh chapter of the Book of Ezekiel.

The hand of the LORD was upon me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I said, “O Sovereign LORD, you alone know.” Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know I am the LORD.’” (Ezekiel 37:1-6)

This passage is speaking of “the whole house of Israel.” Now, just who is the whole house of Israel? The whole house of Israel is the one olive tree, of the eleventh chapter of the Book of Romans. The Olive Tree is the Lord Jesus Christ, the one Seed of Abraham.

Does the thirty-seventh chapter of the Book of Ezekiel refer to the physical land and people of Israel? Yes, no, and yes.

Yes, in that when the Hebrew Prophets spoke they had to use terms familiar to the physical people of Israel. Thus many promises in Isaiah and in the other Prophets are clearly Messianic prophecies. As such, they can refer only to the one Seed of Abraham, Jesus Christ, and those who are part of Him. However, what is clearly assigned to the physical land and people shall be fulfilled.

No, because, as Paul told us, being part of the one Seed of Abraham is by promise, not by physical lineage. Being born of the lineage of Abraham does not ensure that an individual is “Israel.” “Jacob have I loved and Esau have I hated.”

Yes again, in that God’s promises concerning the royal priesthood are always focused on the physical land and people of Israel. God never will change His mind concerning this.

We might note that the name of the twelve Jewish apostles are inscribed on the foundations of the wall of the new Jerusalem. Also the names of the twelve tribes are on the gates in the wall of the new Jerusalem. And it is the new Jerusalem!

The new covenant is made only with Israel. If a Gentile wishes to enter the new covenant he or she must become part of Israel through union with Jesus Christ.

Satan strives mightily to put a wall of separation between the Jews and the Gentiles. But to no avail. Through the offering of His flesh on the cross, Christ has made of Jews and Gentiles one new Man.

We who are Gentiles by birth but Israel through Christ will rejoice when we see Christ being reconciled to His brothers, the Jews; just as Asenath, the Egyptian wife of Joseph, must have rejoiced when Joseph was reconciled to his brothers.

Ephraim and Manasseh became true Israel through the determination of Jacob, just as we become true Israel through Christ.

For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, By abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, And in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. (Ephesians 2:14-16)
Now then, your two sons born to you in Egypt before I came to you here will be reckoned as mine; Ephraim and Manasseh will be mine, just as Reuben and Simeon are mine. (Genesis 48:5)
This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. (Hebrews 8:10)
If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:29)

It is true that events in the physical land and people of Israel sometimes parallel events in true Israel, who are God’s elect, both Jewish and Gentile by physical birth. Thus we see that God now is beginning to speak to His elect about the one Body of Christ, while the physical Jews are returning to the land of Israel to make one nation.

However, it may be noticed that in Ezekiel, Chapter Thirty-seven, God is referring to a holy army He is going to build. The physical Jews returning to the land of Israel are not a holy army. The Jewish women, for example, reflect in their dress the moral decadence of the Western “Christian” nations, thus scandalizing many of the Muslim women.

The Jews, in many instances, are not on their face before God in repentance. They are sitting on the seashore enjoying the sun with their families. We are not to begrudge them this. But they are not the holy army God is beginning to put together.

Israel, the Olive Tree, Christ, began with the elect of the physical Jews, continued with elect physical Jews and Gentiles, and, as soon as the full number of elect Gentiles have been added to the Olive Tree, will be brought maturity by the addition of a multitude of physical Jews. Then the whole house of Israel, elect Jews and Gentiles, will come into the fullness of salvation by the sovereign actions of God. Thus all Israel will be saved in the Lord with a very great salvation.

If we would maintain a balanced perspective concerning the one Body of Christ, we always must keep in mind that the royal priesthood, the household of God, primarily is a Jewish entity. However, once we become part of Christ we are part of this entity, just as Ephraim and Manasseh, although half Egyptian, were considered as much a part of Israel as was true of Judah and Benjamin.

Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. (Ephesians 2:19,20)

So God is telling us, in Ezekiel 37, that the whole house of Israel, that is, the one Olive Tree, which is Christ and those who are an integral part of Christ, is at the present time a valley of very dry bones. We can look around today and say Amen to this. The hundreds of competing denominations are not the Body of Christ, the army of God, although in most if not all Christian churches there are true disciples, true members of the Body of Christ.

The Christian religion is one matter. The Body of Christ is another. In some ways the two are related. In other ways they are not related.

A person can be a member of a Christian church and not be a disciple of Christ. In fact, it appears in America that many if not most of the members of the Christian churches are not disciples. They have never been taught to deny themselves, to take up their personal cross of self-denial and follow the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord.

We have a nice Christian religion in America, but it hardly is related to the biblical concept of the Body of Christ.

Let us consider a few more verses in Ezekiel.

Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know I am the LORD.’” (Ezekiel 37:4-6)

Think about what God intends to do with the members of Christ’s Body:

“I will make breath enter you.”
“You will come to life.”
“I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin.”
“I will put breath in you.”
“You will come to life.”
“You will know I am the Lord.”

These declarations shall be fulfilled to the letter. They shall take place. The members of the Body of Christ shall be brought together and made perfect by the sovereign hand of God.

But where do we come in?

We become part of this great body by giving ourselves wholly to the Head in absolute obedience.

This is what God is requiring now—that each Christian turn from his or her own ways and give himself or herself wholly to the Lord Jesus in absolute obedience.

Our familiar church ways no longer are sufficient. Increased demands are being made on us.

We have a terrific problem in America. Our way of life is one of material riches. If we are not affluent we are seeking to become that way. The result is, we do not have enough time to give ourselves wholly to the Head.

We have been blinded to our day of visitation by the deceitfulness of riches.

Unless God in His goodness deprives America of her material wealth, not many members of the Body of Christ will come from the American churches. We do not have enough time to seek the Lord as we should.

When the Lord Jesus returns we are to appear with Him. We will appear as an invincible army, mounted on the white war stallions. We also will appear as His Body. This means we will be totally responsive to the Head.

If we are not learning to be totally responsive to the Head, we can forget about being raised from the dead when Christ next appears. We are not eligible to participate in the first resurrection.

Why is this? Because we still are part of the problem. We are not totally responsive to the Head. He cannot work through us to perform His Father’s will.

I am not speaking about going to Hell or being cast into the Lake of Fire. I am not speaking of going to Heaven or not going to Heaven. Rather I am talking about being a part of the Body of Christ and returning with the Lord to install the Kingdom of God on the earth.

We noticed the sovereign actions of God in verses four through six. But these actions do not apply to us as an individual until we resolutely determine to participate in the work of God. There are many spirits and forces that work against the American believer who would be part of the Body of Christ. The worship of money is one such force. Another is the spirit of inevitability. We hope everything will come out right in the end. We are so tired from keeping up with the cash flow that we just go from day to day and trust God will save us.

This is a debilitating attitude to say the least. If we are to be raised from the dead and to ascend to meet the Lord when He appears, we have to decide right now—today—to make certain of our place in the Body of Christ. We have to pray until we know the Lord has heard us and accepted us. From that point forward we are to maintain such an awareness of the Presence of Christ that we respond to His slightest prompting.

Otherwise we are not a functioning part of the Body of Christ.

Again, I am not talking about “being saved.” I am referring to Christ being formed in us to such an extent that we are living by His Life.

Paul travailed that Christ might be formed in the members of the church in Galatia. Yet these people were “saved,” as we use the term, and had received the Holy Spirit. So after we are saved and have the Holy Spirit, there remains the further step of Christ being formed in us and dwelling in us.

God has said what He will do, and now we have to respond in faith until His Word comes to pass in our personality. It is true of every aspect of salvation, from our entrance into the work of redemption through to our change into the image of Christ and our entrance into untroubled rest in the center of God’s Person and will. God has to proclaim His will for us, and then we have to respond by presenting our body a living sacrifice.

Great things have been prophesied over numerous believers during the last forty or fifty years. Yet it often is true that the believer dies without the prophetic utterance having been fulfilled.

Why is this? It is because we did not deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Jesus. We attended church and met the requirements of our church. But we did not live in continual interaction with the living Jesus. We have been a member of the Christian religion. But we never became a member of the living Body of Christ.

So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them. (Ezekiel 37:7,8)

There shall arise a giant in the closing days of the Church Age. First he shall be formed. Then God shall empower the giant to do God’s will.

The giant is the Body of Christ. When it has been formed, the Head will come down on the Body.

Ambitious ministers of our day are attempting to administrate the things of the Kingdom of God. Their intentions may be understandable. But there is only one Administrator of the Kingdom of God. His name is Jesus. Until we hear from Him we are not to attempt to build the Kingdom of God.

Being a pastor results in many seminars and organizational plans coming across my desk. Almost without exception they laud the abilities of this or that individual. Some of these brochures do not even mention the name of Jesus.

We are in an age when people are motivated by their self-will, their presumptuous impulses. They suppose they are building the Kingdom of God. They are not. They merely are seeking to activate what they think is a good idea. All in the name of Jesus.

But Jesus is a King. He is not asking that we attempt to assist Him with our pitiful resources. He is waiting to see who is intelligent enough to realize the Body is to respond to the Head, not the Head to the Body.

Ours is a day of waiting on the Lord, of listening to Jesus, of becoming completely responsive to the Head. This is the necessary preparation for those who hope to be raised from the dead when the Lord appears from Heaven and to ascend to meet Him in the clouds.

Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’” So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army. (Ezekiel 37:9,10)

How is the faithful pastor or teacher to respond to the current burden of the Lord? He is to proclaim the Word of the Lord. He is not to attempt to breathe life in to the giant. God did not command Ezekiel to breathe life into the dead body. He commanded Ezekiel to prophesy to the breath by which the giant will live. When Ezekiel obeyed the Lord and prophesied to the breath, then life entered the giant.

What was the giant, the Body of Christ? A vast army.

Why an army? Because the work of Christ—Head and Body—is to drive the enemy, all sources of rebellion and wickedness, from the creation of God. Such destruction of rebellion will require a war, because those who are self-willed will not readily and gladly surrender to Christ their stubborn determination to do as they please.

We cannot possibly participate with Christ in the coming resurrection until we readily and gladly surrender to Jesus Christ our stubborn determination to do as we please. We still are part of the problem, not of the solution. Actually we are the enemy of God until we place His will above our own. We are disobedient, rebellious children, although we may consider ourselves to be saved and filled with God’s Spirit. Much of the Christian world of our day lives in a state of deception, not in any so-called “state of grace.”

The time will arrive when the Body of Christ is filled with eternal resurrection life, the Life of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is God’s eternal Word and it shall not fail.

The remainder of the Christian church world will be burned with fire by the secular, Antichrist government, in accordance with the Word of the Lord, because its members have not borne the fruit of Christ’s moral image.

Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’ Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: O my people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. Then you, my people, will know I am the LORD, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know I the LORD have spoken, and I have done it, declares the LORD.’” (Ezekiel 37:11-14)

“These bones are the whole house of Israel.” As we have stated, the whole house of Israel is the one Olive Tree, the Lord Jesus Christ, and all who are part of Him whether Jewish or Gentile by physical birth.

The expression “our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off” suggests to me that difficult times are ahead for physical Israel and spiritual Israel as well. This probably is referring to the second half of Daniel’s seventieth week, the period when the Divine testimony has been driven from the major cities of the earth—the days of the great tribulation.

But resurrection is coming, just as we see in the reviving of the two witnesses of the eleventh chapter of the Book of Revelation. The elect of God will be brought to their lowest point. God will permit evil to shatter the power of the saints. At this point, when the world cries “peace and safety,” the Lord God of Heaven will raise His witnesses from the dead. Darkness shall cover the earth and thick darkness the people. But the Spirit of God will fall with great power on God’s witnesses, His elect, the brothers of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Lord Jesus Christ will raise from the dead those who are part of Himself. Then they shall be caught up to meet Him in the air. As soon as the army has been assembled, the heavenly host will descend with the Lord Jesus Christ to the Mount of Olives. The warfare of Armageddon then will commence.

Our objective, you know, is the land of Israel, and from there dominion over all the nations of the earth. We are coheirs with Him whose Kingdom will crush all the kingdoms of the earth and bring them to an end.

The victorious saints are destined to govern the world, and whoever would govern the world must do so from the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. This is the reason why there is warfare in our day concerning the city of Jerusalem. The present Middle East conflict reveals Satan’s determination to prevent the Lord Jesus Christ from governing the nations of the earth. But he and all his helpers shall fail miserably, because the God of Heaven has given the earth and its nations to the Lord Jesus Christ as His inheritance.

The Body of the Redeemer will be perfected. Then the Redeemer will come to the land and people of Israel and remove all wickedness from that nation. The Jerusalem that is in Heaven will come down and swallow up the Jerusalem on earth, just as our glorified bodies will come down from Heaven and swallow up our resurrected flesh and bones.

All Israel will be saved!

The word of the LORD came to me: “Son of man, take a stick of wood and write on it, ‘Belonging to Judah and the Israelites associated with him.’ Then take another stick of wood, and write on it, ‘Ephraim’s stick, belonging to Joseph and all the house of Israel associated with him.’ Join them together into one stick so they will become one in your hand.” (Ezekiel 37:15-17)

The “stick” is the cross. The stick of Judah speaks of the Jews. The stick of Ephraim refers to the Gentiles who have been made one with the Jews through the cross.

Ephraim, you remember, was born of an Egyptian mother. Yet through Jacob the Abrahamic blessing came upon Ephraim. The blessing has to do with a group of nations, not just the nation of Israel.

But his father refused and said, “I know, my son, I know. He too will become a people, and he too will become great. Nevertheless, his younger brother will be greater than he, and his descendants will become a group of nations.” (Genesis 48:19)

Nothing of eternal value can be accomplished in the Kingdom of God apart from the union of the elect Jews and Gentiles. Satan resists this union with all his power. This is why we have the totally unscriptural designation of “the Gentile church.” There is no such thing as a Gentile church, only the one new Man.

I realize the explanation of the two sticks points toward the reuniting of the tribes of Israel and Judah. We must remember, however, that the Hebrew Prophets had to speak in ways their contemporaries could understand. The New Testament, however, reveals that the Prophets were not speaking primarily to their contemporaries but to us.

Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, Trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow. It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things. (I Peter 1:10-12)
I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. (I John 10:16)

Compare:

My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd. They will follow my laws and be careful to keep my decrees. (Ezekiel 37:24)

Let me comment now on the dispensational aspect of the awakening of the giant. By the term “dispensational” I am not referring to the Dispensational model of biblical interpretation, which I believe to be destructive of any coherent understanding of the Scriptures. By “dispensational” I am referring to a season, a time when God emphasizes particular aspects of redemption.

It is clear that God of His own sovereign decisions has appointed seasons and times when His will is to be performed in the earth.

Repent, then, and turn to God, so your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, And that he may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you—even Jesus. He must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets. (Acts 3:19-21)

It is the responsibility of those in the Christian churches who have a prophetic anointing to declare what season, what time we are in. Then we can pray that God will execute His present will in our lives.

If I am hearing correctly, the Lord is saying now is the time to begin to think about the forming of the Body of Christ. We who have been saved and filled with God’s Spirit need to press forward to the full development of the Life of Christ in us, to total responsiveness to the Head, Jesus Christ.

Are there passages of Scripture that point toward a specific season and time when God will bring forth the Body of Christ? I think there are.

But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets. (Revelation 10:7)

The mystery of God will be accomplished in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound. The seventh angel blows the last trumpet. At the last trumpet the victorious saints will be clothed with an incorruptible house from Heaven.

The mystery of God that is to be accomplished is “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” For two thousand years the Christian churches have emphasized “Christ with us.” Now the emphasis is on “Christ in us.” There is a vast difference between having Christ with us and having Christ in us. Christ in us is the Kingdom of God, and the demands on us are total if we are to receive and develop this particular Divine gift.

He replied, “Go tell that fox, ‘I will drive out demons and heal people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach my goal.’” (Luke 13:32)

The immediate meaning of the above refers to the atonement made on the cross.

However, there is symbolic meaning here. The goal of the Lord Jesus Christ is to perfect a Body without blemish, and through that perfect Body bring the entire creation under subjection to Himself.

Notice the similar passage:

After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will restore us, that we may live in his presence. Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.” (Hosea 6:2,3)

The reference here to “rains” is referring to the fall and spring rains for which the Heavenly farmer is waiting.

The King James translation probably is to be preferred:

Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth. (Hosea 6:3—KJV)

And then we have in Joel:

Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. (Joel 2:23—KJV)

The idea seems to follow the thought of keeping the best wine until now, and the glory of the latter house shall be greater than the former.

The “first month” would be the time of the fall rain, that is, the beginning of the civil year, the time of the Blowing of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement and the feast of Tabernacles. The inference may be that at the onset of the thousand-year Kingdom Age, God will pour out His Spirit as in the original Day of Pentecost (the fall, planting rain) and add to this the heavier harvest rain, resulting in an unprecedented deluge on the earth of God’s Spirit.

Elisha, the prophet of the double portion, may be the strongest type of the outpouring symbolized by the two witnesses of the eleventh chapter of the Book of Revelation. The two bears and the forty-two young men remind us of the two witnesses and the forty-two months (three and one-half years) of the first half of Daniel’s seventieth week.

The two days during which the Lord casts out demons and heals the sick, and then the “third day” when His goal is reached may refer to the two thousand years of the Church Age and then the thousand-year Kingdom Age. The two days and then the third makes us think of the Tabernacle of the Congregation. The volume of the Holy Place was two thousand cubic cubits, while the volume of the Most Holy Place, representing the thousand-year Kingdom Age, was one thousand cubic cubits.

We are saying all this to indicate that God performs specific works at specific times.

As to the sudden bringing forth of the Body of Christ, we think of the birth of the Male Son, the twelfth chapter of the Book of Revelation. This will be an unprecedented event, resulting in the catching up of the supreme Ruler to His place at the right hand of God.

The symbolism of Revelation, Twelve refers to the forming of Christ in the believers. That which has been born of God in us is caught up to the right hand of God, waiting for the day when it is to descend with Christ.

It always has been God’s will to form Christ in the believers. But the Scriptures seem to emphasize the last days as being the time during which the Body of Christ suddenly will come to maturity.

“In the days of the seventh angel…”

And then:

Who has ever heard of such a thing? Who has ever seen such things? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children. (Isaiah 66:8)

Although the contemporary opinion seems to be to the contrary, I do not believe the above is referring to physical Israel becoming a nation, as happened in 1948. Rather the subject is the royal priesthood, the holy nation, the Body of Christ. The holy nation will be brought forth as Zion, the Lord’s dwelling place, travails as did the Apostle Paul for the saints in Galatia.

Also:

Therefore Israel will be abandoned until the time when she who is in labor gives birth and the rest of his brothers return to join the Israelites. (Micah 5:3)

We understand, then, that there is a dispensational aspect of the awakening of the giant, the Body of Christ. The awakening is beginning now, we think. The appropriate passages have always been in the Bible. But it appears they apply especially to our day.

There always is the danger of missing the hour of our visitation, as did the Jews at the time of Christ. This especially is true of the elect in America. We are so crushed by the pursuit of material riches we do not have enough time or energy left to make certain we really are abiding in the Head.

What must we do? We Americans must pray with all the force we can muster that God will arrange our lives so we have the time and strength to seek the Lord. We absolutely must come into an immediate, continually responsive relationship to the Head, to the Lord Jesus Christ.

To not come into such a responsive relationship is to ensure we have little or no chance to be raised from the dead when the Lord appears and to be caught up to meet Him in the air.

Every member of the Body must be being moved at all times by the Head. Every member of the army of Christ must be instantly obedient to the commands coming from the Commander in Chief.

The Lord Jesus simply will not appear with an unprepared, disobedient group of believers. We delay His return when we do not seek Him with our whole heart.

Meanwhile the people of the world stagger about in their moral vomit, many being denied even basic justice. There is no hope for them until the Lord Jesus, the Prince of Peace, appears with His saints and establishes His Kingdom on the earth.
