The Daily Word of Righteousness

Ephesians 2:8,9, continued

Then Jesus asked, "What is the kingdom of God like? What shall I compare it to? It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air perched in its branches." (Luke 13:18,19—NIV)

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. (Colossians 3:1—NIV)

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

Why do we absolutely refuse to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom of God and in its place talk about going to live forever in the spirit Paradise?

What will it take to guide Evangelical teaching and preaching into scriptural channels?

Can you imagine? We are so off track that pastors are having their congregations prepare for the "rapture into Heaven" by jumping up and down next to their pews. This is so far from the Gospel that it is not even related.

We are not going to be "raptured" into the Kingdom of God. Nowhere did the Lord Jesus say that the Kingdom of God is as a rocket that when lit leaps into the air.

The Kingdom of God is like a seed. It is something that grows in us and transforms us.

You will never become a new creature or enter the Kingdom of God by jumping up and down next to your pew.

You shall become a new creature, and enter the Kingdom of God, by drawing on the Life of Christ until you are saved from sin and rebellion.

The issue is that of inheriting the Kingdom of God. Let's talk about it. Let's find out what it means. Current teaching is incorrect and does not prepare people for the spiritual powers that now are arrayed against us.

And raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, in Christ, in order that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ. (Ephesians 2:6,7—NASB)

If we have received Christ as our Lord and Savior we already have been raised together with Him to the right hand of God. We already are far above every authority and dignitary in the present age and that which is to come.

We never will go any higher than we are now.

It is a question of bringing that throne-life down into the earth where it is sorely needed. Let us pray, "Your Kingdom come. Your will be done in the earth."

God's will indeed shall be done in the earth if we allow the power of Christ to work in our life.

The royal priesthood is holy. Each member has been called to sit in the Presence of God and enjoy His Person for eternity.

God has prepared unbelievable Glory for us and this will be given in the coming ages to those God has chosen. We have earned none of this blessing, it all was prepared for the elect from the foundation of the world.

But, as we have warned, we must be careful not to neglect such a great salvation. We can lose it.

To be continued.
