The Daily Word of Righteousness

Revelation 21:7, continued

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. (Revelation 2:17)

You may think by this time I have proved my point. Listen! You are going to return to church and hear how you are saved by grace and an overcomer by grace even though you are not laying down your life, taking up your cross, and following Jesus. You are going to hear it over, and over, and over, and over again.

So I am telling you over, and over, and over, and over again that you are listening to a lie.

We just had a man leave one of our churches that teach righteousness because he heard us say there are ranks in the Kingdom of God. He fled because he had been taught in previous churches (all his life, I guess) that all Christians receive the same reward by grace.

Thus Satan has advised the Christian churches that there is no real advantage to keeping the commandments of Christ and His Apostles and no real penalty for not keeping the commandments of Christ and His Apostles. Can you think of teaching better designed to destroy Christian zeal and diligence?

And so we continue.

And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: (Revelation 2:26)

Is the Lord saying here, "Whoever believes I am the Son of God will receive power over the nations"?

Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. (Revelation 3:2)

Does this sound to you like an exhortation to believe that Jesus is the Son of God?

And how about the following?

Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. (Revelation 3:4)

"Thou hast a few names in Sardis that believe that Jesus is the Son of God." Ridiculous!

Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. (Revelation 3:10)

"Because thou hast kept the word of my patience."

"Because thou believest that Jesus is the Son of God." Nonsense.

By the way, the above verse is not referring to the Lord "rapturing" off the earth those who believe Jesus is the Son of God so they will not suffer from Antichrist and the great tribulation. The verse means rather that Jesus will guard against temptation, keeping them from the devil, those who guard the word of His patience, that is, who keep His commandments.

I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. (Revelation 3:15)

"I know you do not believe I am the Son of God and yet you do believe that I am the Son of God. I wish you would make up your mind!"

To be continued.
