The Daily Word of Righteousness

Revelation 10:1

And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire: (Revelation 10:1)

Revelation, Chapters Ten and Eleven ought to be one chapter. They are telling us about the blowing of the seventh and last trumpet, the trumpet that will herald the change of the saints from mortality to immortality.

These chapters present also the tremendous harvest-rain revival, as symbolized by the two witnesses of the eleventh chapter. This will be an outpouring of the Holy Spirit of unprecedented proportions that will bring the testimony of God to the farthest reaches of the earth in preparation for the invasion of our planet by the Kingdom of God.

The angel that heralds the blowing of the seventh trumpet is a "mighty angel." The fullness of the power of God has been reserved for the days just prior to the return of the Lord Jesus. It is a day for the "greater works" of which the Lord prophesied.

This powerful angel comes "down from heaven." The revival reserved for the last days will not have the smell of the flesh on it. It has been reserved in Heaven against the day of battle and will descend in the majesty of God.

The angel is clothed with a cloud. The "cloud" reminds us that this is the time of the coming of the Lord, for the Lord will return in the cloudsùwhether literal clouds or clouds of saints remains to be seen.

The rainbow on or above the head of the strong angel speaks of the rainbow throne, that is, the Throne of God Almighty. Antichrist will receive great power and authority in the last days but the power and authority of Christ and His Church will be infinitely greater.

The angel's face as the sun tells us that the revival of the last days will be characterized by righteous behavior. The sun symbolizes the pure fiery light of Divine righteousness. God will not work where there is unrighteousness. The Christian churches of our day are filled with unrighteous behavior because of the preaching of a false grace.

His legs or feet are pillars of fire. The fire speaks of Divine judgment. The revival of the last days, the latter-rain revival symbolized by the two witnesses, will be accompanied by judgment.

We have experienced the baptism with the Holy Spirit. Now it is time for God's people to be baptized with fire. The Lord's fan is in His hand and He is purging His floor.

When the Lord Jesus quoted from the sixty- first chapter of Isaiah, in His home synagogue, he closed the scroll when he came to "and the day of vengeance of our God." It was not time yet for the day of vengeance. We now are very near the day of vengeance and judgment is beginning in the house of God.

"How will I know when I am being baptized with fire?"

Don't worry, you will know. All the worldliness, lust, and self-will in your personality will start coming forth. As the Holy Spirit makes you aware of the sin in your personality you are to confess it and turn away from it. God will help you.

The sin in your personality belongs in the Lake of Fire, not in the Kingdom of God. Right?

Well, let the Lord take it out of you.

First, all behavior that offends will be removed from the Kingdom. Then, those who offend will be removed. Check it out in the thirteenth chapter of Matthew.

To be continued.
