The Daily Word of Righteousness

John 14:1,2, continued

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. (John 14:23)

You have been created in such a manner that you will never find perfect joy and fulfillment until God, Christ, and you are seated on the throne of your heart.

When God and Christ are not established on the throne of your heart, then you are in bondage to Satan and yourself. Christ can set you free from this bondage only as you install Him on the throne of your heart. You cannot sit there successfully until first He has been enthroned without question.

Sorry, but that is the way you have been made and it is useless to fight against it. Man was created to be the throne of God. God is moving His throne from the heavens in answer to the rebellion of the angels.

Christ is the only true Bread and His blood is the only true Drink. He is preparing a place for you in the house of God by forming a new creation on His body and blood. When the new creation has come to full stature the Father and He will come and make Their eternal abode in you.

Would you like a little Greek study? Probably not but here goes.

John 14:2. The Greek word for "mansions" is monaye, meaning dwelling place or room.

John 14:10. The Greek word for "dwelleth" is menown, same word, different form.

John 14:23. The Greek word for "abode" is moneen, same word, different form.

John 15:4. The Greek word for "abide" is maynateh, same word, different form.

John 6:56. The Greek word for "dwelleth" is menaye, same word, different spelling.

What we are pointing out is that the concept of the many rooms in the Father's house is referring to Christ abiding in the Father and to our abiding in Christ.

Why has the mystery of Christ in us been delayed? Revelation, Chapter Ten says that in the days of the seventh (last) angel there will be delay no longer but the mystery of God shall be finished or accomplished.

Well, it is true that in the fourth chapter of Zechariah, the source of the idea of the two witnesses, the reference is to the capstone being placed on the restored temple. This will be accomplished only by the Spirit of the Lord.

The day of the wealth and power of the flesh is over. It is time now for the Lord to reveal the mystery hidden throughout history, the dwelling of Messiah in us, the hope of glory.

We of Pentecost are at the crossroads. Shall we take our gifts and try to save the world, or will we return to the Lord and become His eternal house, His chariot, His throne, His dwelling place?

There are three works of grace, not two. There is salvation. There is the baptism with the Holy Spirit. And then there is the fullness of God. That there are three works of grace is portrayed by every major type of the Old Testament. All are in three parts, not two.

God is so cunning. He knows what He wants and He knows also that we are not ready to hear of the totality of surrender God is requiring.

So He saves us by forgiving our sins and assuring us of Paradise. We are glad of the lifting of the load of guilt from our back.

Next, if we will continue, God fills us with His Spirit.

Sometimes we speak in tongues when God fills us with His Spirit. The purpose of tongues is get us started into the rest of God. For the first time in our life we yield to the Spirit of God to the extent of praying from the Spirit instead of from our natural mind.

But salvation and the baptism with the Spirit are only the authority and power to go where God wants us. God wants us to give ourselves over to Him without reservation.

To be continued.
