The Daily Word of Righteousness

The Brain and the Mind, #4

For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. (I Corinthians 2:16—NIV)

If there is consciousness in the next life, then it is the consciousness of our mind, not of our physical brain, because our physical brain is rotting in the ground.

What is in your mind today? Is your mind filled with the holy Life of Jesus Christ? Are you praying each day, meditating in the Scriptures each day, gathering regularly with fervent believers, giving of your means as God leads, seeking to discover God's will for your life, the gifts and ministry He has given to you to build the Body of Christ?

Or are you living the typical, casual American "Christian" life, filling your days with the problems of the workplace and your nights with the entertainment of the television, not praying, not seeking the Lord, not giving of your means to assist those in need, not gathering regularly with the saints, not endeavoring to discover God's will for you, what place of service He has for you? Is this how you are living, trusting you are saved by grace and just about to leave for Heaven in a "rapture"?

If this is the case, you are in deception. You better get out of the church you are in and find a group that is hearing from God.

We in America are about to enter an age of moral horrors. Some of us are praying for righteousness at the highest levels of government. I think God has heard us and will tear out the present rottenness and install upright men and women, people of old-fashioned integrity. I believe God has heard and is going to do this.

Also I think I have it from the Lord that we in America are going to be dealt with very severely because of the abundance of sin in our midst. No late-term abortion escapes the notice of Him who creates the little ones. The innocents, having been deprived of their opportunity to learn from life on earth, will be taken to the garden of God. But those who have perpetrated such horror are charged with murder.

Perhaps the age of moral horrors will be delayed if enough of us Christians repent of our wicked ways. Let us hope so, for the outlook is grim indeed because of our wickedness. And there will be no "pre-tribulation rapture" to deliver us from judgment. This is not scriptural.

Well, old walnut-brain is finished for now. Hope we have helped someone, young or old, to have a better resurrection.

Paul writing to Christians about Christians:

Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so. Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God. (Romans 8:5-8—NIV)
