Preparing for the Battle of Armageddon, #15

And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Matthew 25:30—NIV)

If you are not a diligent, fervent Christian you will not be raised from the dead or transformed at His coming. You will not be caught up to meet the Commander in Chief in the air because you have not been chosen or proven faithful.

What your end will be I cannot say. Perhaps you will be saved by the tormenting flames of the fire of Divine judgment. This is not impossible but not a pleasant prospect. Perhaps the door will be shut in your face because you did not keep enough oil on hand. Perhaps your talent will be taken from you and given to another while you are thrown into the darkness.

Perhaps you will be weak enough to cooperate with the Antichrist world system. In this case your end will be torment in the presence of the angels and of the Lamb.

And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. (Revelation 14:11—NIV)

This is no joke. Jesus Christ died on the cross to purchase you as His slave—that is correct, His slave. As loving and gentle as He is, He demands your unqualified obedience.

If you regard the coming of the Lord as a time of revelry you have not studied your Bible. It will be a time of darkness. That darkness fell on Christ while He was on the cross. He overcame all by faith in His Father.

Now it is time for us to demonstrate that we love Jesus. We are to come out of the enticing world of today and pray, read our Bible, put to death the deeds of our sinful body, present our body a living sacrifice, deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Jesus, assemble with fervent believers, give, desire the gifts of the Spirit, and in all matters be obedient and look to the Lord for every decision of life.

This is only the normal Christian life and our reasonable service of worship.

The present life is short at best. We have this one opportunity in eternity to show God that we really love Him. The world of the present is not designed to be a happy place. It is cursed. Happiness will come later—all the happiness we could ever desire.

The present world is a place of testing, a proving ground. It is here that we are taught and tested, taught and tested, taught and tested. There is no opportunity for retirement from the program of change, for we have been predestined to be changed into the moral image of Jesus Christ. Only then will we be bread for the nations.

If you have a heart for God, then look up. He has kept the good wine until now.

But if you are sitting in a carnal church, being fed with grace, rapture, Heaven, grace, rapture, Heaven, grace, rapture, Heaven, then you are not being prepared for the soon-coming Battle of Armageddon. You will be tossed about like a straw in a hurricane during the age of moral horrors that is approaching.

It is time to serve the Lord! (from Preparing for the Battle of Armageddon)
