The Daily Word of Righteousness

A Suitable Helper, continued

For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. (Romans 8:19-21)

The prisoners of the earth huddle in their straw, confined by the great granite walls of the curse that God has placed on the earth. The meek suffer at the hands of those who wickedly vaunt themselves without regard for the welfare of their fellow captives.

God is preparing a Deliverer. He came two thousand years ago to make an atonement for sin. When He comes again it will be with a great host chosen from people who lived at different periods of earth's history, with a helper suitable for Him. Together they shall free the captives from their prison. They shall release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.

The destroyers of the earth shall be destroyed in that Day. Those who have ground the faces of the poor, who have robbed the meek of the earth, shall themselves be ground to powder. The wicked who boasted of their power shall be burned up in the fire which the Lord Jesus will bring at His coming with His holy angels.

Then the meek shall inherit the earth. Then those who love that which is righteous will come to the saints and be blessed and delivered. The members of the royal priesthood who have been tormented by the wicked shall be the judges of those wicked people. The tormented shall be the tormentors in that Day.

Vengeance belongs to the Lord and He shall execute it through His saints in that Day.

Let the saints rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds. May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands, To inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples, To bind their kings with fetters, their nobles with shackles of iron, To carry out the sentence written against them. This is the glory of all his saints. Praise the LORD. (Psalms 149:5-9—NIV)

This is the Day of the Lord and the Lord alone shall be exalted. If you and I hope to be a part of Christ in the great Day of the Lord, then we must be seeking Him with total diligence that we may become a helper suitable for Him. (from A Suitable Helper)
