The Daily Word of Righteousness

From Imputed to Actual Righteousness, #20

Then have the trumpet sounded everywhere on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement sound the trumpet throughout your land. Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; each one of you is to return to his family property and each to his own clan. (Leviticus 25:9,10—NIV)

Please note that the trumpet of the Year of Jubilee was sounded on the Day of Atonement. The significance of this is that freedom from the bondages of the enemy will take place during the spiritual fulfillment of the Day of Atonement, which will occur after the feast of Pentecost.

We have been at Pentecost during the present century. God now is moving toward the spiritual fulfillment of the solemn Day of Atonement. This fulfillment has begun and will extend throughout the thousand-year period, as I understand it. It is the time when God's people, forgiven through the blood atonement, will be reconciled to God in personality and behavior. Such reconciliation requires the removal of all of the passions and appetites of the flesh and soul; all love for the things of the wicked world spirit; and all self-will and rebellion against the will of God.

The cleansing of the royal priesthood is described as follows:

But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner's fire or a launderer's soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the LORD will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness, And the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will be acceptable to the LORD, as in days gone by, as in former years. (Malachi 3:2-4—NIV)

Again:

Now Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes as he stood before the angel. The angel said to those who were standing before him, "Take off his filthy clothes." Then he said to Joshua, "See, I have taken away your sin, and I will put rich garments on you." (Zechariah 3:3,4—NIV)

Again:

And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob. And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins." (Romans 11:26,27—NIV)

The verse above is not referring to imputed deliverance but to actual deliverance from the bondages of sin. "The deliverer" "will turn godlessness away" and "take away their sins."

God has determined to remove sin from His creation. He will do this through His Church. The Church will be separated into two sections, according to the wisdom of God. The first section will gain victory, through Christ, over all the works of the enemy. Then the victory will spread to the remainder of the Church, and finally to the ends of the earth.

God will have no more sin or the effects of sin in His creation. He is through with sin!

If what I am writing resonates in you, if it is something you desire, then go to Christ in prayer and tell Him about it. When the Holy Spirit points out something in your personality that you know is unscriptural, you know is not pleasing to God, then confess it as sin. Denounce it. Renounce it with all your might. By God's help, turn away from it.

As you do so you will find that God forgives all of your past sin along this line and is cleansing you from all behavior that is contrary to His will.

Keep it up! Don't quit! We gained these bondages over a period of time, and it will take a period of time for us to get rid of them completely.

To be continued.
