The Daily Word of Righteousness

Evangelizing and Witnessing, #9

The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him, (Nahum 1:7—NIV)

I am bearing witness to you! I am telling you what I know, not what I read in a book. If you want purpose in your life, turn it over to Jesus. We are entering an age of moral horrors. God and Satan will be facing each other in the days to come. Based on what I have experienced I am betting on God on the nose to win.

The Bible exhorts us to prepare ourselves to stand in the evil day.

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. (Ephesians 6:13—NIV)

Notice the expression "the evil day." As we look about us we can see the evil that fills the world in our time. The evil is due to sin, to the wicked ambitions and imaginations of those who do not care whom they hurt as long as their desires are fulfilled.

There is no nation in history that has behaved in the manner of the United States of today that has endured for very long. There is no doubt in my mind that soon heavy judgment will fall on our nation. If this proves to be true, none of us will be able to stand without the help of the Lord.

If the Christian believers want to give a clear witness of God's Person and His plan of salvation, and I believe most Christians do, then we are going to have to turn to God, confess our sins, and repent of our wicked ways. Only then will we be able to lead unsaved people to the shelter of the great Rock, Jesus Christ.

But if we keep on in our worldliness, our lusts, our carelessness, we are going to be caught off guard when Divine judgment comes. There is no passage of Scripture whatever that tells us we will not be on the earth when trouble comes. God wants us on the earth so we can be a witness of His love for mankind, His willingness to save and protect all who place their trust in Him.

Even if I knew God were going to lose I would still go God's way. God's way is right. It brings health, joy, peace, love. Satan's way is totally wrong. It brings corruption, misery, frantic unrest, remorse, hatred, and every other evil thing. This I have seen during the days of my pilgrimage. I want nothing whatever to do with Satan or his ways. God, and God alone, is good. I take my place with God, win or lose.

I know also from my journey that God will win. He already has won. He is permitting Satan to work his works in the earth because God is forming conquering sons who will govern the works of His hands for eternity, and they are learning to conquer by resisting Satan.

I testify to you that this is true. Whether you are young or old, your life is meaningless until you receive Jesus. You are living in death. To be attached neither to Jesus or to Satan is to be attached to Satan by default. There is no middle ground, for apart from Christ we are only dust.

Jesus Christ Himself is eternal life. Receive Him now and live. Don't let another moment go by.

Why should you be an eternal loser when you can have God, Christ, and everything else of value? (from Evangelizing and Witnessing)
