The Daily Word of Righteousness

The Day of Christ, #28

Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. (Revelation 3:10)

The true, conquering saints will be kept in God's power so they will not be deceived. During the days to come, many will give their lives for the Gospel. The overcomers will not serve Antichrist no matter what the cost may be to them personally.

Thus the overcomers have not been harmed by Antichrist, only made more perfect through suffering.

Many of the victorious saints will remain alive on the earth until the Lord returns. All during the dark night of tribulation and Antichrist's reign it will remain possible for any individual to seek the Lord and find deliverance for his soul. This is why the Lord advises the believers of Laodicea to buy gold tried in the fire, that is, to purchase saving faith at the cost of suffering and persecution.

The moment Christ appears the doors will be closed against those who have rejected Him. It will not be possible for the rebels to repent. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, especially on the part of the church members who suddenly realize they are hypocrites.

How terrible it will be for an individual to come to the moment when the doors of the Kingdom of God are closed for eternity against him or her. Truly, there is no fate possible to a human being more dreadful, more terrifying, more filled with horror, than to know it is too late to enter the Kingdom of God.

"There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth"! How awful to have played with the things of Christ in this world and then to be turned away from the light of God's Presence; to be confined to the dark caverns of the lost, burned by the flames that give no light—there to await the great judgment at the end of the thousand years.

Some human beings will face such unspeakable terror. Pray it will not be you or any of your loved ones.

The moment the Church is lifted from the surface of the earth the judgment of God will fall on mankind. The vials of Divine wrath will be poured out under the supervision of Christ and His saints.

Then the nations of the earth will be facing the onslaught of Christ and His army, as described in the second chapter of Joel, the third chapter of Habakkuk, and the nineteenth chapter of the Book of Revelation.

The feet of Christ will touch the Mount of Olives, which then will split in the middle forming a great valley. The Lord's army will move northward under the leadership of generals who may have studied under Christ in Heaven over the past hundreds and thousands of years.

The conquering saints will fall upon Antichrist and his army at Har-Magedon. Antichrist will be cast alive into the Lake of Fire and the bodies of his soldiers will be food for the birds.

Christ will ascend the Throne of David in Jerusalem amid the shouts of His mighty men, His victorious saints. What a day is the Day of Christ!

To be continued.
