The Daily Word of Righteousness

The Antichrist Spirit, #4

At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, "Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens." (Hebrews 12:26—NIV)

A great shaking is coming! Believe me, the heavens and the earth shall be shaken. You and I shall be shaken violently. The very roots and sources of our motives, thoughts, words, and actions shall indeed be shaken violently.

Only that which obeys Christ will survive the shaking.

Numerous Christians are being shaken today. Ministers of the Gospel are finding that their motives have not always been pure. They have been following their own will rather than the will of Jesus.

Let me tell you something. Each Christian will be brought to a point of decision. Either we will humble ourselves and do what the Lord wants, or we will clutch our religious abilities and try to maintain our preeminence.

I will say something further. In some cases even God does not know what our decision will be. The spirit realm has to wait to see which decision you are going to make, whether to humble yourself and turn back to Christ, or to plunge ahead in your pride and self-will.

In other words, right at this point you are determining your eternal destiny. It is a fearful business!

People may not be able to pray for you until you make your decision!

Daniel prophesied some strange things concerning the authority and power of Antichrist in the last days. Here is the strangest of them:

It grew until it reached the host of the heavens, and it threw some of the starry host down to the earth and trampled on them. It set itself up to be as great as the Prince of the host; it took away the daily sacrifice from him, and the place of his sanctuary was brought low. Because of rebellion, the host of the saints and the daily sacrifice were given over to it. It prospered in everything it did, and truth was thrown to the ground. (Daniel 8:10-12—NIV)

My readers know of the several times I have expounded on this passage. Yet this morning I think the Lord forcefully brought it to my attention and I felt I should add to what I have said previously.

In order to understand the above passage we must recognize a fact presented by the Apostle Paul. If we are abiding in the Lord Jesus Christ we already are seated with Christ at the right hand of the Father, waiting until He appears so we may appear with Him.

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, In order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:6,7—NIV)

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. (Colossians 3:1-3—NIV)

To be continued.
