The Manifestation of Christ, #20

For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. (Isaiah 60:2)

The Glory of Christ will come upon the saints, upon the Wife of the Lamb. The peoples of the earth will behold our resurrection and glorification. They will see the Glory of God and His Lamb in the sky, and the revelation of Divinity will be terrorizing. The saints who have labored among them, who have borne a true witness, who are human beings like themselves, will be much more approachable than God and His Lamb.

The nations will not be able to look on God or His Christ. But they shall be able to see and comprehend the Divine glory that will abide eternally on the revealed sons of God.

And the Gentiles [nations] shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. (Isaiah 60:3)

Antichrist and his armies will be destroyed by the brightness of the coming of Christ and His saints. But many nations will be saved in that Day. They will believe that Jesus is the Christ of God because they will see His glory in His saints (John 17:21-23).

Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. (Isaiah 60:4)

God has given Christ the nations of the earth for His inheritance. We are coheirs with the Lord. The nations of the earth are our inheritance also. We shall inherit them in the Day of the Lord, the day of the manifestation of the glorified saints, the day of the marriage of the Lamb. The nations that come to us in that Day of days are blessed for they have been called to the marriage supper of the Lamb (Revelation 19:9).

Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles [nations] shall come unto thee. (Isaiah 60:5)

This marks the beginning of the rule of Jerusalem over the whole earth. Jerusalem will reign as the Kingdom of God throughout the thousand-year period. After that, Satan will be released. Once again the world will arise against God's Kingdom. But now God will do away with the present earth and sky—the universe as we know it. The rest of the dead will be raised and judged. The destiny of all persons will be sealed.

A new heaven and new earth will come into being. The nations of the saved will walk on the new earth. The Tabernacle of God, which is the new Jerusalem, the Kingdom of God, the Wife of the Lamb, will rule the nations. There will be no more death, for God in Christ in the saints will feed the people with eternal life.

The holy city is the supreme manifestation of God's Christ. The Wife of the Lamb, which is the Church, is the fullness of that manifestation.

To be continued.
