The Daily Word of Righteousness

The Second Goat, #25

And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. (Revelation 2:26,27)

The Purifying of the Members of the Saved Nations

The victorious saints will govern the members of the saved nations with a rod of iron. This means they will not tolerate rebellion or sin—not even one instance of it!

The concept of saved people living on the new earth who are not part of the Church may be new to our reader. But until one grasps that Israel (including the Church) comprises called-out people whose destiny is to be made a royal priesthood, much of the Scriptures, both Old Testament and New, will not make much sense.

The new Jerusalem is the glorified Israel, the glorified Church, the Wife of the Lamb. The new Jerusalem is the eternal tabernacle of God and will bring all sorts of blessings, as well as iron discipline, to the saved people who live on the new earth.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. (Revelation 21:3)

The Church is the tabernacle of God. The men with whom God will dwell in His tabernacle are the saved people of the world. They will be citizens of the nations that surround the new Jerusalem just as the Courtyard surrounded the Tabernacle of the Congregation.

And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. (Revelation 21:24)

The saved nations of the earth are the inheritance of Christ and those who are coheirs with Him.

Christian people speak of mansions, harps, golden slippers, and acres of diamonds. What foolishness! To inherit one person is better than ten thousand such heavens.

Our inheritance is people—people to love, guide, bless, warn, heal as well as to discipline.

The people will understand that we are the priests of God and will respond in obedience.

And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers. But ye shall be named the Priests of the Lord: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves. (Isaiah 61:5,6)

The people will come to us, bringing their families with them.

And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles [nations] shall come unto thee. (Isaiah 60:3-5)

To be continued.
