The Daily Word of Righteousness

The Second Goat, #26

And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. (Isaiah 2:2-4)

As soon as the evil princes have been removed from the thrones of the air and the saints have taken their place, the spiritual environment of the earth will change dramatically. The peoples of the saved nations will desire to learn the righteous ways of the Lord.

No doubt the kings and lords over the saved nations will be saints. This is why the Lord Jesus is termed King of kings and Lord of lords.

The nations will learn righteousness and glorify God only when they see righteous behavior on the part of the saints. This is another reason why Satan strives so mightily to prevent the Christians from understanding the need for righteous behavior.

For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations. (Isaiah 61:11)

For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. (Isaiah 62:1)

So great is the deadly bias against righteous works on the part of Christians that a popular Christian translation adds the word "imputed" to the above verse. The perverted reading is, "until the imputed righteousness thereof go forth as brightness."

There is no lexical or logical basis for the addition. There is no manner in which an imputed righteousness can go forth as brightness. This unreasoned addition shows the violence of the bias operating in an otherwise devout scholar.

Because people can always sin if they so choose, the saints will govern and judge the creation of God forever.

And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. (Revelation 22:5)

The New World of Righteousness, the Kingdom of God, and the Lake of Fire

The good news is that the Kingdom of God is coming to the earth from Heaven. The Kingdom of God is the doing of God's will in the earth as it is in Heaven. When the heavens are purged it will be infinitely easier to do God's will in the earth.

The coming of Christ and His saints is for the purpose of establishing justice and peace on the earth, not, as is commonly taught, for the bringing of the Church to Heaven (what good would that do?).

To be continued.
