The Daily Word of Righteousness

Which Kingdom?

He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. (Luke 1:32,33)

The Kingdom of God is at hand. We understand this is true.

Whenever God is ready to move in the earth there always have been imitations that have sprung up.

The Bible speaks of two kingdoms that will come to the earth, one governed by Antichrist and the False Prophet and the other governed by the Lord Jesus Christ.

And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. (Revelation 13:7)

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. (Isaiah 9:7)

The Bible tells of the day star that will herald the dawning of a new age. But there are two day stars—Lucifer and Christ.

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer [morning star], son of the morning [dawn]! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! (Isaiah 14:12)

We have also a more sure word of prophecy [the Scriptures]; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: (II Peter 1:19)

Christian people think they always will be able to detect the false and embrace that which is of God. This is not true. The deception of the last days is able to delude and entice far beyond the ability of the average Christian of today to detect or resist.

Who or what is Antichrist, the Beast that rises out of the sea? The "sea," in this instance, refers to the peoples of the earth. While we are of the opinion that Antichrist indeed will be personified in an individual, it remains true that the antichrist we need to be concerned about in the present hour is man making himself God.

And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. (Revelation 13:1)

What or who is the second Beast who rises from the earth? The "earth" speaks of the soul of man, the adamic nature. The second Beast is the False Prophet, the spirit of religious delusion. The False Prophet is the attempt of religious people, particularly Christian people, to use the things of Christ according to human understanding and motivation (out from the fallen human soul).

And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. (Revelation 13:11)

To be continued.
