Spiritual Forces of the Last Days, #38

And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; these things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; (Revelation 3:14)

Satan has placed doubt in the minds of people concerning their origin. The unsupported hypothesis termed evolution has done much to tear down the belief that man is accountable to his Creator, that there will be a Day of Judgment, a final reckoning.

Also, those who would deny the Deity of Jesus do not present Him as having risen from the dead. Christ indeed did rise from the dead physically and all people are accountable to Him. God has appointed a Day in which He will judge all men at the hand of Christ.

The churches of our day, in some instances need to be reminded that Jesus is the Amen, the faithful and true witness of God, the Beginning of all things. The worth of every circumstance, every relationship, every thing is measured by His standard. Christ is Judge of the creation. God has made Jesus both Lord and Christ.

That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: (Ephesians 1:10)

The Laodicean Christian. Antichrist, the False Prophet, and Babylon are self-centered, man-pleasing, deceitful, and wicked. They have influenced the Laodicean Christian and produced apathy in him. His spiritual life is nearly gone. The forces of darkness have robbed him of his zeal for Christ.

I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. (Revelation 3:15)

Sometimes the Laodicean believer is drawn away into the worldly, man-centered ways of Antichrist. Or he may get caught up in the False-Prophet attempts to manipulate the physical realm by using supernatural faith: "I will believe until it happens; I will speak it into existence; I will picture it in my mind and maintain the mental image until it is brought into reality."

So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. (Revelation 3:16)

The Laodicean Christian is not fit for Paradise or Hell. He is disgusting to the Lord, the King of all. Jesus will spit him out of His mouth.

The Laodicean Christian believes himself to be rich because of his abundance of material things. The Antichrist government has given him material security and is using him as part of the satanic plan to bring all people into a worldwide community.

The Antichrist will invite Christian leaders, including fundamentalists, into positions of leadership in the government. Satan understands that the best way to destroy a Christian is to put him at ease in the world.

Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: (Revelation 3:17)

We believe that the world of Antichrist will be friendly to the Christians at first, in that Antichrist himself will be a Christian in the beginning (as was Judas). But soon Antichrist, the False Prophet, and Babylon will combine to force the Laodicean Christians to either cleave to the Lord with all their strength or else compromise their consecration to the Lord.

Those who compromise will be able to continue in their churches whether or not the churches are fundamental in doctrine. The true saints, those who live in a daily relationship with the Lord, will be forced into hiding, no longer able to engage in the world economic system.

To be continued.
