The Daily Word of Righteousness

The Tail of the Dragon, #7

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:10)

The above may be rendered: "Your kingdom come. Your will be done, as in Heaven, so also upon the earth."

God's will is performed in His holy Heaven. The struggle now is directed toward overthrowing the wicked spirits in the heavens until God's perfect will is done upon the earth. The earth will never be free from sin until the wicked spirits now residing in the heavenlies have been cast into the Lake of Fire.

Think about the following:

And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven [of the heavens]: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven [in the heavens]: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven [in the heavens]. (Matthew 16:19)

It is things in the heavens that must be bound. It is things in the heavens that must be loosed.

The binding must be performed by saints on the earth. The plan of God is progressing as Christ is formed in the saints still alive on the earth.

But that which the saints bind on the earth is bound in the heavens. This is what is important. The judgment and release must take place in the heavens before God's will can be done upon the earth.

We may be desirous of seeing what is taking place in the heavens. But the angels are seeking to understand what is taking place in the earth.

Unto whom [the Hebrew Prophets] it was revealed, that not unto themselves [the physical Israelites], but unto us [the Christians—Jews and Gentiles] they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. (I Peter 1:12)

God has determined to make an end of sin and to bring in everlasting righteousness. It helps and comforts us when we recognize that all of the wickedness and moral horrors that are to be unleashed upon mankind in the near future are for the purpose of making an end of sin and bringing in eternal righteousness.

Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. (Daniel 9:24)

"To make an end of sins, . . . and to bring in everlasting righteousness." This is God's determination. The heavens shall be cleansed, and then wickedness shall be driven from the earth.

God's plan is to permit the tares of wickedness to come to a maturity that will reach into the heavens, and also to foster the growth of the wheat of righteousness until there is a powerful army of saints in Heaven who are filled with Christ Himself. Wickedness will come to stupendous maturity and righteousness will come to stupendous maturity. Then righteousness will destroy the wickedness and the Kingdom of God will govern a creation that is totally free of rebellion and will remain totally free of rebellion throughout the ages of ages.

To be continued.
