The True Hope: "Rapture" or Resurrection?, #18

Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall I go against Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king. (I Kings 22:6)

Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that have daubed it with untempered morter, and will say unto you, The wall is no more, neither they that daubed it; to wit, the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Lord GOD. (Ezekiel 13:15,16)

How many ministers of our day have the integrity to say, I have been mistaken all these years; I have been teaching that which is not clearly scriptural. The ministers who will admit to this are lovers of truth. The true saints will follow them.

The pastor who makes such an admission in the United States of America will probably lose most of his congregation. He will discover to his dismay that he has spent his life tickling the ears of churchgoers who are not willing to suffer for the Gospel. They have no chance of participating in the first resurrection from the dead, the resurrection that will take place when the Lord returns. They will leave the man of integrity and go where a pastor will keep assuring them that they will not be required to suffer.

In the day of fire that is at hand the pampered believers of America will turn against their treacherous shepherds with great wrath just as an indulged child will turn his wrath against anyone who thwarts him. The self-seeking shepherds and their lukewarm congregations will be thrown into outer darkness. This certainly shall take place in the case of every pastor who "loves his congregation so much" he will not warn them of the days of judgment that are at hand and keeps assuring them that Jesus loves them far too much to ever allow them to suffer.

The false shepherds teach that we Gentiles shall be carried up into Heaven to recline in comfort at our pleasure and watch the Jews without the Holy Spirit struggle to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom in the face of Antichrist. How could any Christian believe such a grotesque warping of the Scriptures, such blatant anti-Semitism?

Pastors, teachers, and evangelists are supposed to be "watchmen on the wall." These leaders of the flock of God have the responsibility of warning God's inheritance of the wrath of God that soon is to visit the earth.

If they refuse to warn the believers of the coming judgment, choosing instead to tickle their ears with the idea that God loves them and has received them in their sins because of the righteous Jesus, then the believers, being deluded as to the Nature of God and His salvation, will perish in their sins. They will reap corruption. Their blood will be required at the hands of the treacherous watchmen who, for their own enrichment, refused to blow the trumpet in Zion.

To be continued.
