The True Hope: "Rapture" or Resurrection?, #34

And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. (Revelation 17:16)

In the last days the government of Antichrist will cooperate with Babylon, the worldwide Christian organization, in order to bring about world peace and security, just as in past history there were times when the kings of Europe cooperated with the Pope of Rome.

Finally the desire of Antichrist to be the supreme God will cause him to destroy Babylon. How can Antichrist sit in the restored Temple in Jerusalem and declare himself to be God when there is a religious leader, another God, on the banks of the Euphrates (where we believe the great Christian organization will be located)?

Many people in Heaven will rejoice when Babylon is destroyed, for the Christian institutions have tortured and killed the saints, casting them out because of their faithful witness of the Lord Jesus and the Word of God in their mouth.

Those who will be raised at the next appearing of the Lord will be free from Babylon. They will have no guile in their mouth. They have been beheaded, that is, all of their own wisdom, knowledge, understanding, plans, ambitions—all of their own desire to build, to achieve, has been given to God. They have been "beheaded." In return they have received the mind of Christ. In their case, the Head of Christ has been placed on the Body of Christ.

No person will sit on the thrones that govern the creation, will participate in the first resurrection, until he has been "beheaded." Most believers have never given their "head" to Christ. Therefore most believers will not participate in the first resurrection. In our day, the head of man, rather than of Christ, is on many members of the Body of Christ.

"Had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands."

The second requirement for being raised in the first resurrection is that we do not worship the beast, or his image, or receive his mark in our forehead or hand.

Antichrist is the spirit who seeks to usurp the place of Christ. Antichrist is the world spirit, the spirit that maintains man is God, the spirit that trusts in money rather than in the Holy Spirit, the spirit that looks to education rather than to the wisdom and knowledge of the Lord God.

Each of us must make the decision. Should I walk humbly with God or should I trust in my own wisdom and efforts? Should I spend my time and energy acquiring wealth or should I trust in God for my needs? Should I seek wisdom and knowledge or should I look to God each moment of each day? Should I be content to live by human, biologic life or should I seek to live by the body and blood of the Lord?

It is impossible to bear a true witness of Christ or to faithfully present the Word of God until we lose our own adamic "head" and put on the Head of Christ.

The Antichrist spirit is prevailing in our day. People, including many believers it appears, are ready to worship themselves, money, and education.

To be continued.
