The Daily Word of Righteousness

The True Hope: "Rapture" or Resurrection?, #35

I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope. My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning. (Psalms 130:5,6)

How many are waiting humbly on the Lord each day? How many leaders of denominations and churches are waiting humbly on the Lord each day?

What the image of the beast is we do not know as yet. It is the False Prophet who encourages the people of the earth to make an image to the beast, to Antichrist. The image probably is one of gold, as in the case of Nebuchadnezzar. Money is the imitation of God in that it offers power and security to people. Money and God are competing gods. This is why we cannot worship God and money. Money is the god of the Antichrist system.

The False Prophet is the spirit of religious delusion. This is the spirit that has swept into the Charismatic movement, teaching God's people to worship money, to use faith to get what they want, and lately to use political power to force morality on the secular world.

Somehow the Pentecostal believers will be worked into the position of assisting a government that probably will be Christian in name but will have the head of man, not of Christ.

To have the mark of Antichrist in our forehead is to trust the leadership of man, the head of man.

To have the mark of Antichrist in our hand is to do the works of man in the attempt to create a "better" world.

The builders of the Tower of Babel had the mark of Antichrist in their foreheads and hands.

The Body of Christ is at a fork in the road. We have been saved by the blood of the Lamb. We have received the power of the Spirit.

The question is, will we use our authority as children of God and the power of the Spirit to "deliver" people and help them build their own kingdoms, or will we turn to the Lord Jesus every moment of every day, waiting upon His slightest will in every situation? Will we turn away from Babylon, the kingdom builder? Or will we keep our own head and attempt to reach God by our own wisdom and strength?

Are we willing to "lose our head" in order that we might bear a true witness of the Lord Jesus and proclaim truthfully the whole Word of God? No individual can ever bear a true witness of the Lord and proclaim faithfully the whole counsel of God until he or she has been "beheaded."

The babylonish religious systems always will place the head of man on the Body of Christ.

To be continued.
