The True Hope: "Rapture" or Resurrection?, #38

Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it? (Amos 5:20)

Now it is time to cast out the "pre-tribulation rapture" error. The coming of the Lord will be the great and terrible Day of the Lord spoken of by the Hebrew Prophets. It will not be the removal of a fleshly group of churchgoers so they will not be harmed by the terrors of Antichrist and the great tribulation. Rather the future will be marked by unprecedented revival, terrible tribulation, and then unbelievable glory as the saints of all ages arise in their bodies of glory and shake terribly the earth.

The sun and the moon shall be darkened. The archangel Michael shall thunder his commands to the invincible legions of warrior angels. Almighty God shall issue the Word of ultimate power. Jesus Christ, the Lord of all, the King of all kings and Lord of all lords, surrounded by Michael's chosen host of giant warriors, accompanied by the called, chosen, and faithful of mankind, will appear for every eye to see.

From the sky the Commander in Chief will summon His faithful witnesses from the earth. Together with the glorified kings and judges the saints still alive shall be transformed into incorruptible resurrection life and then caught up in the sight of the wicked into the clouds to be placed in their ranks in the Lord's army.

The day of the large and powerful army has come.

A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. (Joel 2:2)

Down from the sky with the speed of light will hurtle the two armies, the army of judges and the army of huge angelic warriors. The Mount of Olives will split in two. Through the dried-up bed of the Euphrates will ride the kings from the rising of the sun. Antichrist and his armies will be totally crushed. Antichrist and the False Prophet will be cast alive, in their bodies, into the Lake of Fire. One angel will throw a massive chain around Satan and hurl him into the bottomless pit.

Accompanied by His faithful witnesses the greater Son of David will be brought to the throne of David on the Temple Mount. There accompanied by an earth-shaking roar of praise from the multitude of saints the King of all kings will be crowned.

Now Christ's legions will go throughout the earth. Wherever there is evil it will be burned up.

For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. (Malachi 4:1)

Quietness will settle upon the whole earth. Then, little by little, nature will begin to sing with joy. The Spirit of God will fill the earth. The nations of the saved will come to the Light of God radiating from the saints.

For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. (Isaiah 55:12)

The Rock of Israel has come. Jacob has been delivered from all sin and death. Christ has appeared.

Let this be our glorious hope forever and ever.

The Lord is at hand.

Amen. (from The True Hope: "Rapture" or Resurrection?)
