What is the meaning of "the people of the world will not permit the dead bodies of the witnesses to be put in graves"?

If the vision I had many years ago in the fellowship hall of the Fremont Assembly of God was accurate, the meaning is that Antichrist and his followers will maintain the Christian churches, schools, hospitals, and other institutions. The Spirit of God will be gone from them but the institutions themselves will be maintained.

Here is the wisdom of the ancient dragon. Keep the Christian works going but remove the Spirit of Christ from them.

One can see this sort of thing in Jerusalem as well as other places. Here are great Christian institutions going back hundreds of years in time. Costly, lavish religious edifices, a reminder that at one time the saints of God had been active there. But now the buildings are void of the Spirit of God. The body has not been buried but the spirit is gone.

It is entirely possible for a Christian church to keep on with all its activities, even singing the old hymns, and yet be without the Spirit of God. This is what happened with the church in Sardis, as described in the third chapter of the Book of Revelation. Sardis had a name that it was alive but it was dead.

Multitudes upon unnumbered multitudes of "Christians" will be "worshiping" in the churches sponsored by Antichrist. Those churches will be rich and increased with goods because they will be subsidized by the government. Many church leaders will be involved in the government helping the leaders in their decision-making. Peace and safety!

The holy remnant will be forced to live in hiding, but the throne of God will be in them. They will have the keys of the Kingdom of God, the authority and power of salvation and deliverance.

How does one keep from being deceived? There is only one way. Take up your cross and follow Jesus. You can study your Bible until you have the whole book memorized. This will not keep you from deception. Only the carrying of your personal cross will keep you from deception.

This is why people have been deceived by the current doctrines such as the presenting of Divine grace as an alternative to righteous behavior, the pre-tribulation "rapture," and the faith and prosperity messages. All these spring from a common source: the unwillingness of the believers to take up their cross and follow Jesus. They are looking for some way to be a Christian without suffering.

Buy the truth and sell it not. Divine truth is as gold refined by fire seven times in a furnace of earth. You are the furnace of earth. You will never know God until you meet Him through blood and fire. You must travel the path of the saints of old if you wish to keep from being deceived in the last days.
