The Daily Word of Righteousness

Two Beginnings, #30

And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. (Revelation 22:5)

God will establish governors of the nations of the saved. The central problem of the world of today is that it is governed by wicked, self-serving people. If it were not for the wickedness of the rulers, spiritual and physical, there would be peace and abundance for everyone.

All of this mismanagement will be a thing of the past when the holy city is established on the new earth. The sons of God will be seated on the thrones that govern the earth. The sons of God are servants at heart and people of utmost integrity. Before they have been permitted to ascend the throne, every element of their personality will have been sifted and have passed through the Divine fire.

The new rulers can be trusted by God and man alike to rule righteously, humbly, compassionately, and in the fear of God. It will not be as it is today where the rulers use their position of authority to benefit and exalt themselves at the expense of those whom they are governing.

The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God. And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain. (II Samuel 23:3,4)

What a great blessing a righteous king can be! There is no better form of government than a kingdom ruled by a righteous king who loves and serves God.

Democracy is a device of Satan, as can be observed by the steadily deteriorating moral condition of the nations that have had a democratic form of government for any period of time. It appears people need stern rule if they truly are to be free.

It has been given to the saints to judge humans and angels. God is the greatest of all judges. God has given all authority of judgment to His Son, Christ. Christ executes the Divine judgment through the members of His Body.

Christ has given the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven to His anointed saints. Whatever the saints bind on the earth is bound in the heavens. Whatever the saints loose on the earth is loosed in the heavens. To the anointed saints has been given the authority to remit and retain sins.

The authority to refuse some people and angels entrance to the Kingdom of God and to permit others to enter is indeed a terrible power. But is has been assigned to the sons of God. They are the gates in the wall in the new Jerusalem. We shall be given this authority because Christ is in us and with us and we are part of Him.
