We Christians Do Not Understand the Gospel!, #15

When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. (Colossians 3:4)

Christ must have become our life if we expect to appear with the Lord Jesus when He returns.

No person will appear with the Lord Jesus as a member of the royal priesthood until he or she has been crucified with the Lord Jesus and has become a new creature by receiving each day the Virtue of the risen Christ.

No person will appear with the Lord Jesus as a member of the royal priesthood until he or she has been perfected in union with God, abiding in untroubled rest in the Father through the Son.

Because the Kingdom of God must be established on the earth with force, a third transformation must occur in each member of the royal priesthood, the nobility of the Kingdom of God.

Training the soldiers of the Lord's army. In order for the Israelites to enter the land of promise they first had to overcome the enemy who was dwelling there. The earth and its peoples are our land of promise. In order for us to occupy our inheritance we must overcome the enemy who is entrenched here.

Many passages of the Scriptures speak of the army that is to come from Heaven and drive Satan and his forces from the face of the earth.

Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand; (Joel 2:1)

They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the Lord, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land. (Isaiah 13:5)

The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear. (Habakkuk 3:11)

And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. (Jude 1:14,15)

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. (Revelation 19:11)

We Christians are to regard ourselves as soldiers.

Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. (II Timothy 2:3,4)
