The Antichrist Spirit, #2

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; (II Timothy 3:1-4)

In the United States of America it is unlawful to invite a group of public school students to invite Jesus into their hearts. Yet it is not unlawful to invite the same students to welcome demons into their personalities, calling the demons (familiar spirits) globes of light, rays of peace, or some other "acceptable" name, or to practice the Hindu Yoga. Chinese dragons are paraded around the school playground. An Aztec idol was recently constructed in a city of California.

The continual uproar concerning the separation of the church and state in America is a smoke screen. It is a device to silence Christianity while admitting any number of demonic religions. No moral or intellectual strength is maintaining the doctrine of separation of church and state. The doctrine is pure evil.

In some instances Christian people may be required take a stand against immorality. However, we must keep firmly in mind that Jesus' Kingdom is not of this world. Christians who desire to step into governmental positions and command the unbelieving to behave according to biblical standards of morality may be making a premature move. It is premature because we still are in the Church Age, not in the Kingdom Age; and because Christ is not dwelling in us to the extent necessary for the proper conduct of the Kingdom of God.

We will succeed only in bringing persecution on ourselves if we attempt by physical means to force the keeping of the laws of the Kingdom of God in the present hour. The role of the saints during the Church Age is to bear witness of the soon coming of the Kingdom of God to the earth.

The only threat to Satan's rule is the Lord Jesus Christ. The church of the Laodiceans is human. It derives its strength from "togetherness, " the working together of people to bring the Kingdom of God to the earth. The Laodiceans cannot grasp the fact that their enemy is not a human being but a rebellious cherub who formerly occupied a high position in the spirit realm. Human weapons, including voting in a democratic society, are useless against a cherub, against Satan.

The Laodicean churches do not enjoy the concept that Christ is brought forth only as the believers are willing to die to the world, to their own lusts, and to their self-love and self-centeredness. Rather, the Laodicean churches stress that through the Lord Jesus we can get the most good out of life, bringing forth the "potential" that is in our adamic personality.

The Laodicean church cries, "You can do all things through Christ! Set your goal as high as you desire and through faith you can attain it."

This is what is being preached today and God's people cannot understand that it is the opposite of the Gospel of Christ. The true Gospel is, "You can do all things through Christ." The emphasis is on Christ, not on you.

To be continued.
