The Daily Word of Righteousness

You Are My People, #33

Thus saith the Lord of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you. (Zechariah 8:23)

No matter how the nations of the earth come against Israel, the Word of God will be fulfilled to the letter. God has determined to pour out His Holy Spirit on Israel and to make Israel the spiritual and physical headquarters of the nations of the world. There is no power in the heavens, on earth, or in the dark domains beneath the surface of the earth that can change one particle of God's Word. It all shall come to pass in detail.

We do not know what will happen to Israel before its time of exaltation comes. But Israel shall be fully restored and glorified at the appointed hour.

The Glorified Church, the Bride of the Lamb, Is the New Jerusalem

And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, (Revelation 21:9,10)

Those who teach that there is a Gentile Church in Heaven and a Jewish kingdom on the earth may find the last two chapters of the Book of Revelation difficult to interpret simply and directly. But to the individual who perceives that there is one new Man, Christ, the eternal Temple of God, there is no problem.

The new Jerusalem is the holy city of God, the Bride of the Lamb, the glorified Church, the Torah personified in God's people. All the promises of God concerning the glorification of Israel will be fulfilled in the new Jerusalem. Israel will then be the head of all nations. The nations of the earth will walk in the light of Israel, which actually will be the Light of God Himself.

The Hebrew Prophets spoke of this fulfillment of the new covenant—the time when the sins of God's people would be removed and every Israelite, from the least to the greatest, would know the Lord for himself.

Jerusalem, the Israel of God, will be the shining light of the earth, the center of righteousness and praise.

For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. (Isaiah 62:1)

The Lord will chasten the nation that does not come up to Jerusalem "to keep the feast of tabernacles," that is, to recognize that God is now dwelling in His elect.

And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. (Zechariah 14:16,17)

To be continued.
