Ye Shall Receive Power, #27

And to the woman [the Church of Christ] were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time [three and one-half years], from the face of the serpent. (Revelation 12:14)

"Peace and safety" will fill the Antichrist-dominated earth.

But in the wilderness areas of the world the elect will be enjoying the spiritual fulfillment of the feast of Tabernacles as the Lord reveals Himself to His saints, His brothers, and to the devout remnant of Israel. However, the peoples of the earth will be suffering from a famine of the Word of God.

Therefore will he [Christ] give them [the nation of Israel] up, until the time she which travaileth [the Church, the Woman] hath brought forth [Christ in the saints, in His brothers]: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel. (Micah 5:3)

Compare:

For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery [the mystery of Christ giving up the nation of Israel for a season, and the mystery of Christ being brought forth through the travail of the Church], lest ye should be wise in your own conceits [which is precisely what has happened, the Gentiles now believing the Gospel of Christ is a device for bringing them into paradise in their sins]; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: (Romans 11:25,26)

In the unscriptural doctrine of the pre-tribulation rapture, the saved Gentiles, as soon as their number has been completed, are carried off to Heaven while the Jews are left to suffer from Satan and the Antichrist.

The truth is, when the full number of the Gentiles has been brought into the Kingdom, Christ working through those Gentiles will turn away ungodliness from Israel; first from a remnant, and then from the whole nation— fulfilling the type of Joseph, Asenath, and Jacob and his family. We believe the scriptural reality will far surpass in glory the traditions that men have invented.

Numerous devout Jews will leave Jerusalem, as we understand it, having been forced to flee from Antichrist's wrath. They will be joined with the Christian saints of Christ (who are both Jewish and Gentile by race) who have been driven from civilization into the wilderness areas.

This is a moment toward which Christ is looking with an anticipation far beyond our ability to imagine. It will be our great joy and privilege, as members of the Body of Christ, to share in the reconciliation of the Jews to Christ; to be able to say to Zion, "You are God's people."

The world will be drowning in hideous filth and perversity.

Suddenly the Lord Jesus Christ will appear in the sky. He will be accompanied by the spirits of the righteous dead—God's elect. These are His witnesses of all time, of every age. At Christ's Word the Spirit of life from God will fill the dead bodies of the saints enabling their spirits, which have returned with Christ from Heaven, to reenter their bodies.

To be continued.
