Revelation 10:8,9

And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth. And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey. (Revelation 10:8,9)

The little scroll lies open in the hand of the powerful angel. Heaven tells us to go and take it.

We had a good testimony Sunday night from a gentleman who had been in desperate circumstances. The Lord Jesus asked him if he wanted to have his life back. He responded in the affirmative.

The Lord said, "You are going to have to meet me halfway."

He took the step toward the Lord that he knew the Lord wanted. God then saved him from the terrible fate confronting him.

There was a hung jury.

How many believers are waiting for God to knock them off their camel before they will do His will? How many are waiting for a light to shine in their bedroom window before they seek God for His plan for their life.

How many believers are waiting for God to deliver them from their sinful nature without any effort on their part? However many believers there are who are waiting for God to move and are not meeting Him halfwayùthat is the number who will get nothing from the Lord.

If you want to know the Lord's will you have to first present your body a living sacrifice and seek Him like you seek that particular gift for your child when the stores are sold out. If you want a spiritual gift or ministry you have to covet it fervently like you do the material things you want so badly.

You have to go after God! If you wish to find Him you have to seek Him with all your heart. Then He will be found of you.

Truly you are a God who hides Yourself, O God of Israel!

Let not the casual, disinterested believer think God is going to run after him or her and shower all the promises of the Scriptures on him. It is not going to happen. With this attitude, before you hear from the Lord you are going to grow old and die in a convalescent home. You can watch television there just as you are doing now in your present home.

The book of revival is open today. Revival is here now. But you have to go get the book. It is not going to come to you. The angel is not going to bring it to you.

It seems we make one mistake or the other. Either we charge off in our own enthusiasm assuming we know what is in the little book, or else we busy ourselves with the cares of life and wait for the angel to hand it to us.

To be continued.
