The Daily Word of Righteousness

The Latter Rain, continued

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matthew 28:19,20)

We have changed the Great Commission. We are telling people they don't have to keep God's commandments because of His great grace and mercy instead of warning them to keep God's commandments on the peril of being excluded from the Kingdom of God if they don't. Am I correct in this? If you think I am, are you bold enough to go against the tide of humanism that is preaching peace to sinning Americans?

"Oh Brother Thompson, you don't love the people because you yell at them."

One time I was loading some sacks of cement in my Ford pickup. I looked up and saw a man pull up behind me. He got out of his truck and stood between his truck and my truck waiting for me to finish. What he didn't see was that his truck was rolling and it was about to crush his legs between his front bumper and my rear bumper.

I yelled, "Get out of there!"

It isn't considered cool to yell at strangers and you can get in trouble doing that.

He jumped out of the way. I said, "I'm sorry I yelled at you."

He said something to the effect that I could yell at him all I wished to.

What is love? Is it crooning love songs to people standing on the track when the locomotive is roaring down on them? Is this the way you show love to people?

Do you say in your most charming manner, while you are smiling of course, "I would like to suggest that at your convenience you step off the track. It appears that a train may come at any second, although I know the engineer loves you and would never hurt you."?

Or do you shout, "Jump off the track now!"

Sometimes I think we are showing love to people so they will love us. That isn't true love at all. True love is when you act in the best interests of someone whether or not they like you as a result. Do you agree?

And so God has His prophets torment people because He is seeking a higher good for them. Did God ever bring you into suffering because He had a higher good for you? Not my will but Thine be done. Amen.

Those who today are laying down their lives at the Altar of Burnt Offering are positioned before the veil. Just past the veil is the Ark of the Covenant portraying the thousand-year Kingdom Age. The meaning is that after Pentecost comes laying down our life in total obedience, and the next step is to meet the Lord at His appearing.

The movement through the veil from the Holy Place to the Holy of Holies signifies the transition from the Church Age to the Kingdom Age. We are there now, as we are suggesting, and this is why the ministry of the two witnesses includes works of destruction that will torment people on the earth. They will prepare the nations for the fact that the Kingdom Age will be set up on the earth with terrific violence.

To be continued.
