The Daily Word of Righteousness

The Forming of the Body of Christ, continued

When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. (Colossians 3:4)

The Bible teaches us in Colossians that when Christ who is our life shall appear, then we shall appear with Him.

Now, think about this. You are going to appear with Christ.

Stop and think! You are going to appear with Christ!

What are you going to do when you appear with Christ? Anything of significance?

The whole Christ, Head and Body, is the Servant of the Lord of whom Isaiah speaks. God invites us in Isaiah to behold His Servant. But there was no one to behold at the time of Isaiah's prophecy.

Two thousand years ago we saw the Head of the Servant of the Lord. The purpose of the two thousand years of the Church Age has been to create the Body of the Servant of the Lord. When the Body of the Servant of the Lord has come to maturity, then ChristùHead and Body will return and rule, judge, and bless the nations of the earth.

Above all, the Servant of the Lord will bring justice to the nations. If you have been reading your newspaper you may have noticed that the people of the nations have not been doing all that well. Don't you think you would like to do something besides fret about it?

Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth justice to the nations (Isaiah 42:1)

God upholds every member of ChristùHead and Body.

ChristùHead and Bodyùis the Servant of the Lord, the Israel of God, the Messiah who is to come.

God delights in His Anointed.

By one Spirit we all have been baptized into the one Body of the Messiah.

God has put His Spirit on the Head so that the Head might minister to the members of the Body and make them oaks of righteousness.

When the members of the Body have been made oaks of righteousness, then the whole Messiah will return and bring justice to the nations of the earth.

How do you like them apples?

Saints, this is what it is all about. God loves the people of the nations of the earth. He gave His Son for them. Now God is preparing a great Deliverer, a great Vine and its branches, that all the ends of the earth might see the righteousness and worship of God.

This is the Kingdom of God. This is why you, as a member of the elect, were called out from the world. You have been chosen to be the hand of God outstretched to His creation.

You have been given gifts and a ministry by the Holy Spirit. Every member of the Body has been thus endowed. Your task is to build the members of the Body, including yourself, to the full stature of Christ, in preparation for your appearing with Him. Make sense to you?

Every member of the Body of Christ in Heaven and on the earth is depending on you to do your part. Each one of us suffers when you do not use the abilities the Spirit has given you. Each of us is strengthened and built up when you faithfully and diligently fulfill your role.

To be continued.
