The Daily Word of Righteousness

Two Hopes; Two Armies; Two Resurrections, continued

It grew until it reached the host of the heavens, and it threw some of the starry host down to the earth and trampled on them. It set itself up to be as great as the Prince of the host; it took away the daily sacrifice from him, and the place of his sanctuary was brought low. Because of rebellion, the host of the saints and the daily sacrifice were given over to it. It prospered in everything it did, and truth was thrown to the ground. (Daniel 8:10-12—NIV)

Two armies: the army of witnesses empowered by the harvest rain of the Spirit, and then the army from Heaven that will establish the Kingdom of God on the earth. If you are faithful in the lesser you will be entrusted with the greater. This is one of the primary laws of the Kingdom of God.

Don't let the American way of life fool you. It is one massive illusion designed to lure the believers into spending their time on the things of the flesh, things that are passing away with their using and not only are relatively worthless but actually are chains that bind our spirits to the present world. When Satan is through luring the saints with the toys of the world the whole scene will change and you and I will be facing the greatest persecution of Christians in the history of the world. We shall be hated by all nations because we bear the Lord's name.

If you are wasting your time with the lusts of the flesh, or with money, or anything else you are facing a dreadful future.

For you who mean business with God, remember there is no safety in any country or even in Heaven itself. The only safety there is, is that which is found in the Lord Jesus Christ whether you are on earth or in Heaven. The "little horn" of Daniel will reach into the heavens and tear down part of the host because they still have a rebellious nature. God is preparing to shake not only the earth but the heavens also.

There is total safety in Jesus Christ and only in Jesus Christ. You can have that perfect safety today if you will abide in the Rock, in Christ.

Let Christ be your mighty fortress, your horn of salvation, your shield, your truth, your salvation, your joy, your hope, your peace, your safety, your way to the Father so where Christ is there you will be also—in the bosom of the Father.

Then you never can be shaken.

How about it?

There will be a thousand-year Kingdom Age, often referred to as the Millennium. Whether this will be a literal thousand years or the thousand years is a symbolic number we are not prepared to say. Perhaps it is best to take the passage in the Book of Revelation literally until we find out differently.

The Kingdom Age will commence at the next appearing of the Lord Jesus from Heaven with His saints and holy angels.

There will be a resurrection at the beginning of the Kingdom Age and one at the conclusion. Thus there are two major resurrections of the dead.

To be continued.
